I love Isabelle’s inner monologue! It had me cracking up every time! I don’t typically like books that are told from the first person but Noyes always makes it work well and I think that’s part of what made it so enjoyable and easy to relate to. Also, it’s very funny and had a lot of laugh out loud moments. It’s a wonderful journey through the romance of the two MCs and the build-up is very enjoyable. There are some angsty parts but on the whole the book is fun and entertaining. This one is just as good but not as heavy. Noyes was “Alone”, and I absolutely loved it. Her voice is perfect for any character and she portrays them effortlessly, pulling you into the story rather than distracting you from it. Noyes is fast becoming one of my favorite authors! And Abby Craden is BRILLIANT as always! I wish she would narrate all my favorite books. See all my reviews at 17 people found this helpfulĮ.J. Overall, 5 stars for the story, 5 stars for the narration. Highly recommended if you like romances with a bit of substance and don’t mind a few (justified) sex scenes. Her performance does justice to the novel. Her voices are satisfactory for every character and her different accents, including the southern drawl, are spot-on. Craden delivered the performance of this lesbian romance audiobook convincingly and as usual, brought the story to life in an amplified dimension. This isn’t an easy story to narrate as it is demanding in the interpretation of a range of different feelings and the multiple sex scenes. Craden, narrator is a match in lesfic heaven.

I read this book when it was published a couple of years ago and I absolutely loved it so now that it was released in audiobook narrated by Abby Craden, I decided to enjoy it again. I will eagerly be waiting for whatever she writes next.Noyes and Craden, a match in lesfic heaven

It seems no matter what Noyes writes she doesn't disappoint. If you are a romance fan but want to read something different, get this. If you are a Noyes fan, don't hesitate to get this. This book put my emotions through a wringer and it was exactly what I wanted. I cried, I smiled, I was angry and disgusted, and I was sad but also relieved. It is supposed to draw you into the character and make you feel. This is what a good first person story is supposed to do. It sure took me on a ride and messed with my feelings. And while Ask Me Again was absolutely heartbreaking at times, I think this is the most emotional book Noyes has written. It is also psychological but not a psychological thriller there really aren't other lesfic books out there like this.

It is a romance, but again it's different from the norm. Actually, if you look at her complete body of work no two books feel the same which I think is really impressive. This book is quite different than any Noyes has written before. There are only a handful of authors that I will drop everything to read as soon as a new book comes out, and Noyes is at the top of that list.
